Slither Snakes IO is a free snake-based game in which the player must battle other real players in the quest to become the largest snake in the game. The game is fairly straightforward once you understand the basic rules. Your snake is constantly moving at standard speed, and you can control its heading with the gesture controls. If you run into another snake or an obstacle, you die and are forced to start over at the shortest length.

You gain length by eating crystals that appear around the map. Snakes will drop these crystals when they die, so it can be easy to gain a lot of power in a short amount of time by hanging around one of the bigger players until he or she falls. Just be careful not to get too close, because large snakes can easily surround a smaller snake and consume them.

Smaller snakes can also take advantage of their agility to take out larger snakes. If you can dart in front of a larger snake and force it to crash into your body, it will die and you will have first dibs on the crystals it carried. You can do this easily with the temporary boost function that trades size for a temporary speed boost.
